Cannibal Cruise entrants,

Thanks for your previous participations in the Cannibal Cruise. As a previous entrant, we felt that you should know our plans as they are being developed. After 21 consecutive years, we have decided to take a year off from the Cruise and explore alternate fundraisers to support our local youth. It seems that car shows are becoming increasingly prolific, while interest seems to be waning or maybe ours was just getting stale. We need a year to regroup and decide if, when and how to go forward with future Cruises.
This year, 2012, we will continue to sell Christmas trees and hold the Brewfest which is scheduled for Saturday, June 10th. In addition, we are exploring other endeavors and events that may be more area centered and/or lucrative to support our local youth. These are exciting times and we are revitalized by letting go, at least for a while, of an event that might have been getting stale.
We hope that when we finalize more events that you will once again entertain the possibility of participating. As you know, we support virtually every Truckee youth sports organization as well as educational endeavors and scholarships. Thanks again for your support in the past and we look forward to a challenging and exciting year.
